The quick answer is the United States, China, and India.
The longer, more nuanced, answer starts back in 2008 when molly mutt was founded. Upon launching our business we were disappointed to learn that it is impossible to manufacture high quality 100% cotton canvas textiles, in our own designs, anywhere in the United States. That is simply the reality of the textile printing industry — it has all moved overseas.
We buy and make all we can in the United States, including our 100% wool-filled inserts and crate bumpers. We do all of the hand-filling and finishing of our wool inserts ourselves in our Oakland, CA warehouse.
Our textile products are manufactured in two factories, one each in China and India. We have worked with these factories for a combined 10 years and we consider them more as friends than just business partners.
Both factories are outstanding manufacturing partners for us. They make every product exactly to the standards that we require. However we don't simply take their word for it, we inspect every shipment ourselves before it leaves our factory.
In addition, we also independently inspect the factory once a year with a reputable and internationally-recognized 3rd party inspection company to ensure they adhere to our Supplier Code of Ethics for social, environmental, labor, and ethical standards.
And finally, our products are also submitted for 3rd party, independent laboratory analysis on a regular basis to confirm that the finished products exactly meet our specifications. Not a single molly mutt product is made anywhere other than at our factories, under our specifications, with our inspection.
